St. John Parish is looking forward to celebrating the 175th Anniversary of its founding in 1841 with a year of fun and exciting events which will be kicking off this coming September. As pastor, I invite you and your family and friends to be part of this special series of celebrations. As you will see from the Calendar of Events section of this page, our parish is planning a wide variety of events to celebrate: from prayer to picnics, from children's activities to recalling our history. We also invite school alumni and previous parishioners to be part of the occasion. Our aim with this 175th Anniversary year is two-fold: past and future: not only to honor the past 175 years of our parish and to reconnect with parishioners and old friends, but also to look ahead to passing our faith on to the next generation, and to grow through the Catholic Church's "New Evangelization". I invite all to look over this information, to mark your calendars and to take part in all the special events spanning from September 2015 to our grand finale in September 2016. I also invite all to chip in and help out in some small way by signing up to volunteer at one or more events; more volunteer information will be forthcoming. Also click on the PDF for your order form for your own special St. John 175th Anniversary commemorative T-shirt. Thanks for your support, and look forward to a special year!
