Our Parish
Parish Council
- Parish Council Advisory Board
- The Parish Council Advisory Board is committed to helping the pastor serve the spiritual, social, operational, and educational needs of the parish. The council is also concerned with providing adequate service opportunities for the parish and improving internal and external communications. The council members serve three-year terms on a rotational basis. Council meetings are on the third Thursday of alternate months, September through May at 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact any member who is listed in the Directory. Parish Council
- Finance Committee
- The Finance committee oversees the financial aspects of the parish, sets budgets, keeps track of parish income, and assists the pastor in all major financial decisions.
- Building and Grounds Committee
- The Building and Grounds Committee assists in planning and implementing the maintenance program for the parish, coordinates building and repair projects in conjunction with the pastor, and oversees routine grounds maintenance.
Parish Organizations
- Youth Ministry
- A fellowship of Catholic teens and young adults who join in social, spiritual, and service activities and meet to share thoughts and ideas, support the parish community, and have fun.
- Retreats
- HelpĀ in planning and running parish retreats. Contact Cathy Kerns.
- Bible Study
- Currently meets on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 p.m., in the Social Hall.
- Rosary Groups
- Thursday at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:25 a.m. Contact Charlotte Shaw or Eleanora Podoske.
- Eucharistic Adoration
- First Friday. "Could you not watch one hour with me?" (Mathew 26:40). Contact Don Robers or Rosie Labrador.
- Ladies Auxiliary
- Associates of St. Francis
Parish Life
Liturgy Groups
- Parish Liturgy Committee
- Oversees celebrations in accord with the Roman liturgy. Contact Kathi Zysk.
- Altar Services (Grade 4 and Higher)
- Assist the priest at daily and Sunday liturgies. Training sessions are held for new servers and to offer a refresher for those already serving. Contact Kevin or Tony Stalford.
- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
- Parishioners assist in the distribution of the Eucharist during the liturgies, and on a regularly scheduled basis, bring Holy Communion to the sick. Contact Carol Shelton.
- Lectors
- Proclaim the word of God at liturgies. Contact Matt Shaw.
- Hospitality
- Assist in welcoming and seating parishioners for liturgies on Sundays, Holy Days, and funerals. Welcoming, seating, and the collecting of the offerings are part of this ministry.
- Music
- Includes the Adult Choir, the Contemporary Ensemble, cantors, organists, and other musicians. Contact Carol Batina, Jeff Daubenmire, or Kathi Zysk.
