St. John Schools

From the Desk of the School Principal: Sharon Elder

Catholic Education is Affordable to Everyone

By the grace of God, and with the support of our Saint John Parish and the community of Logan, Saint John School has offered our county a faith-based, quality, educational program for over 91 years. We value all members of our school community who have helped create such a rich and successful history for our school.

Many families have never considered sending their children to Saint John School because they think they could not afford the tuition. Actually, there are many resources available to help cover student tuition: the Diocesan tuition assistance program, our own parish Tuition Assistance Program (T.A.P.) and EdChoice.

St. John the Evangelist Elementary School

The philosophy and mission of our school is to educate every child to the fullest of his or her potential and to prepare each student for a role in the world as a Catholic adult. We are committed to teaching the love of God, others, and self.

St. John School, in close and vital cooperation with our parents, enjoys the challenge of educating and preparing our children to advance to the next level with the knowledge, the skills, and the courage that they need to be successful.

Our Program

  • Students in grades K-6 are challenged with a full and well-balanced curriculum taught by certified teachers and staff. Included are daily religion classes where sacramental preparation, prayers, Mass, liturgical celebrations, and traditions all take on meaning. Service projects provide an opportunity to express Christian values.
  • Students receive a strong foundation in math, reading, writing, spelling, science, and social studies.
  • A daily hot lunch program is available to the students.
